Do you ever find your mind wandering when you spend time in prayer? For a creative mind, prayer can intermingle with art in a visual and freeing way. Some people call this type of praying "Prayer Doodling" and it can be a great way to connect with God.
On Sunday, Sept 28, Highway artists Ellie Chang & Amy Folden will be leading an ArtLab session on Prayer Doodling in A1 following the morning worship service. Snacks and art supplies will be provided. 12 person max. REGISTER HERE!
Prayer Doodling starts by taking a piece of paper and write something in the center of the page. Some examples are writing a name for God, or a name of a person you want to pray for, or a scripture passage you want to reflect on. You then spend time with God in prayer adding shapes and colors around that "prayer space." It's a simple, low-experience-needed activity that helps center your mind on prayer instead of getting distracted.
