Since 2014, Stations of Advent has been an important way for us to enter into the Advent season, and tune our hearts toward the center of the Christmas story—the simple poetic narrative of Christ's humble birth in Bethlehem, and how that might change us. Stations of Advent is similar to our Stations of the Cross experience—a self-guided, reflective, interactive meditation on the story of Christ. Through four different stations, participants are asked to interact directly with the ancient Christmas story, and are challenged to digest it anew.
We celebrate the Stations Of Advent right at the outset of December, in order to capture our attention just as the holiday season begins. Together with our Christmas Eve gatherings, we feel it's a great way to bookend the season in worship and reflection.
Live worship sets will take place throughout the days and evenings, if you'd like to time your visit accordingly. Allow yourself about an hour to walk through the exhibit, and leave time for communion as you complete your journey. No childcare is offered, but this is a fantastic event for families to experience together (Printed guides for parents and families are offered).
We look forward to seeing you at Stations Of Advent, and look forward to celebrating with you!
