Seekding elderly person/couple who woud like to rent out rooms in their home (Stuff / need)

We are a middle aged (50 and 44) professional couple moving from Seattle for a new job in Los Altos and interested in renting rooms from an elderly person or couple in the general area who would like some extra income and fellowship. This would also help us get acclimated and connected - like a paid home stay. Our good friend is at the Highway and we are coming from City Church (thecity.org) as references. Our wonderful non-shedding, non-barking Wheaten terrier is coming too.

Room for rent in great location (Services / need)

Hi I'm currently looking for one renters, to move in. I have a great 3bedroom, 2 bath place that has an empty room. I'm looking to rent that to like minded professional. Room is $575, includes all utilities (except PG&E which is divided), and a monthly maid service. Bathroom is shared. Deposit is $575. I'm looking for either a 6 month or year lease. For the right person would do month to month.

The place is centrally located close to 280, Santana Row, Downtown Campbell, Westgate mall. Each room was just recently updated with new blinds, coat of paint and light fixture.
Washer & Dryer are in the house, there is AC, dishwasher, parking, storage, front yard & backyard with patio for BBQ,

Ideally I'd like to find a roommate that is considerate of others, responsible, relaxed and are born within a decade of '77.

I work 40+ hours a week at a job that I love. Durning busy season I like nothing more than to come home and relax. I'm originally from the area, so if you are new to the area I can show you the ropes. I studied in Europe for a few years, and have traveled more than the average american. In my free time I enjoy finding new hole in the wall places to grab a drink or a bit to eat with friends. The other housemate, is an engineer working here in the valley and is a recent transplant from Seattle area. He loves to travel and is gone a few weekends a month doing just that.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Lowly Interns in Need of Room (Stuff / need)

Hey There!

Me and my friend Andrew are interning with a local missions organization, and we need a place to stay for a few months. We are both responsible, God-loving men, (23 and 24) and we just need a simple place to come home to. Being mere lowly interns, we can't offer much other than friendship, some stories, and... yep. That's about it. We can both provide references, and we'd be happy to take care of our portion of utilities, chores, and stuff like that. If it's absolutely necessary, our employer, Footsteps Missions, may be able to contribute some (read: very little) towards rent, but ideally, we're looking for someone who is willing to donate their extra room in God's service. If that sounds like you, or you know someone else that might, please pray about it and let me know. We're ready to move in any day (by the end of March at the latest) and we'll need to stay until the end of August. Thanks, and God Bless!

Looking for Great FM Roommate (Stuff / need)

Hi, there.

I don't go to the Highway, but I am affliated with it and have many friends who do attend. My roommate and I are looking for another gal to live with us in Los Gatos. Read below for details. I attend Open Door Church Mountain View (part of Menlo Park Pres), and my roommate attends Westgate. God bless!

Hello! My name is Angie. My roommate Christy and I are looking for another female roommate to complete our household starting July 1st, 2011. Keep reading for more details. ;) We are two friendly, easy-going professional Christian women in our early 30’s who enjoy one another’s company, though we usually have fairly busy schedules. We view home as a refuge, where we can relax, support one another, share household chores and keep common areas neat.

About the Apartment:

*It's a 3-bedroom townhouse (2 levels), 2.5 bath, full kitchen (with dishwasher), nice dining area with chandelier, large living room with fireplace, 2-car garage, outside patio & garden area in the back.

*Located in quiet residential area of Los Gatos, near Good Samaritan Hospital, not far from Los Gatos Creek trail and Vasona Park. Short drive to downtown Los Gatos. Walking distance to Nob Hill and Trader Joe's grocery stores. Conveniently located close to freeway access CA-17 and CA-85.

*Vacant room (medium one) is $750/month + Utilities (cable, internet, PG&E to be shared equally among us); this room has 2 large closets as well as one large built-in bookshelf. Rent includes shared use of common areas as well as shared hall bathroom, rotating use of garage. All rooms are large-sized with ceiling fans & light fixtures. Rental insurance to be contracted on your own.

*Apartment complex amenities: pool & cabana, as well as 2 green park-like areas. Gardeners for the common areas of the complex, but each renter is responsible for their own front porch areas and

backyards. Extra uncovered parking available in complex area, as well as plenty of street parking.

Who We Are Looking For:

*Friendly female with similar lifestyle choices as us: easy-going, smoke and drug free, and agreeable to not having men sleep overnight. Preferrably no cats as both Angie & I are allergic.

*Someone open to rotating basic chores so that we can all pitch in to keep the common areas tidy. Someone responsible and reliable.

Please email angie at angiemoret@gmail.com and describe
yourself so that we can decide whether we are a fit and want to meet.
Thanks. Looking forward to meeting you!

Christy & Angie =)

Looking for a responsible, clean, 3rd female roommate in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo, located in Santa Clara off of Montague Expressway, right off of 101. The complex is fairly new (approximately 5 years old) and includes great amenities (mentioned below).
The room that is available is about 11x11 and will be sharing a bathroom. Rent is approximately $800 a month, plus utilities. The security deposit is one month’s rent. The unit has a washer dryer in unit and the common area includes a dining room, living room, patio, and outside storage closet. The complex has underground parking, a pool, hot tub, clubhouse for rent, exercise room, and a shared grill.
Right across the street from the complex is shopping center with a Safeway and several restaurants, as well as a park. It's a quiet complex consisting mostly of young professionals and young families.
The move-in date is flexible. Pictures available upon request.

1br Room or Studio for Recent Grad Working in Menlo Park (Stuff / need)

Hi,

My name is Nathan. I'm a recent graduate of Cal Poly, SLO and I'm looking for a place close to Menlo Park starting close to January 11th or 12th. I am easy going, quiet, courteous, neat, and am not around too much (work long days and sometimes go home on weekends). I go to the Highway at Pally when I'm in town on the weekend and church in Oakland when I'm home. I'm originally from a farm in Colorado and would love to help out around the house however I can. Maybe this could help offset the cost of rent?

Ideally, I'd like a separate studio, or bedroom with a separate entrance. If that is not your situation, I would also be open to live in a house with male occupants of a similar faith and age.

If you have any leads, feel free to shoot 'em my way!

God bless,
Nathan

ps. email me and lets meet up, I'm in Palo Alto during the week.

Overview
Nuru International has recently started a Fellows Program. The program is designed to be an incredible opportunity for those interested in expanding their experience by working in the field. The Nuru Fellows Program allows for talented and motivated professionals to use their skills to affect real social change by working directly with communities on the ground in rural Kenya. Potential applicants must be dedicated to serving the poor. Successful candidates will undergo a three-week training in Nuru’s San Clemente, CA office. After training, fellows will participate in a seven month unpaid program based in Nuru’s project in Kuria, Kenya. The program will finish with a one week debrief in the U.S. Exemplary fellows may be offered a full-time paid position with Nuru.

I am currently in Uganda and have seen a need here for some items that I thought someone in the church may be able to help out with. We have developed a program to promote awareness of human trafficking in primary schools. We have already seen its effects and are excited for what is going to happen in the future. We have seen a need for a laptop, projector, and PA system to better convey our material. I will be back in the states in a week and would be able to take care of shipping. Please prayerfully consider giving. Thanks!

We have a 21yo "new" (18mos) believer friend, who would like to avoid going home for summer, as she is the ONLY believer in her family. She has her own car, has some money saved to cover her expenses, but can not pay any rent. She has both childcare and housekeeping experience AND she is a talented hair stylist, and she is so sweet.
We will be having her couch surf at our house as long as she can stand it, but if anyone can come up with something better for this precious new believer; we would be so grateful. Feel free to contact us with the name of anyone you think may be able to help; even if you can't.
Thanks,
Steve and Suzanne Rickman
