I am a Stanford-educated tutor, who has been boosting children’s academic performance for almost ten years.  I offer in-home tutoring to all ages in mathematics and writing, but specialize in working with middle school and high school students.  Whether your child is just trying to get by, or is considered talented and gifted, I can create an environment in which he or she can fully blossom. Parents appreciate me because I set high standards, while students are responsive to me because I am positive and full of spunk. 

Here are just some of the contributions I can make:

-individualized lesson plans (to work on remedial skills or to advance a student above grade-level)
-assistance in completing class assignments
-help sculpting college admission essays
-coaching in organization, note-taking, and test preparation
-continual feedback to parents with suggestions of how the student can best be supported at home
-support for those parents who are navigating through the IEP process (including attendance at IEP meetings)

As a former director of a tutoring center, I maintain a high level of professionalism, while offering parents a tremendous value.
