The Library Technology Aide provides assistance to the public using a variety of library automation equipment, applications,
electronic resources and audio-visual equipment. The Library Technology Aide ensures that automation and audio-visual equipment functions properly. This position is the entry-level position for technology support positions in the Library.
Knowledge and Ability: Must have knowledge of basic PC operations, standard desktop applications and operating systems, computer peripheral devices and audio-visual equipment.
Must be able to troubleshoot routine technology problems and recognize and report complex problems to the appropriate supervisor. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Must have a minimum of one year full-time work experience with responsibility for
troubleshooting and fixing personal computers, applications and related technology. High
School diploma or equivalent highly desirable.
Required Hours:
This opening is for the following hours: Mondays and Tuesdays 6:00-9:00 pm, Wednesdays
3:00-9:00 pm. The applicant must be available all of these hours in order to be eligible for
consideration.
