THE POSITION

An eligibility list will be established for future openings in Customer Services and Support Services.

Customer Services is responsible for customer accounts and all matters related to the lending of Library

The Mountain View Public Library has recently completed a major renovation and reorganization, including implementing

materials handling equipment and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. Nearly 2,500 people

visit each day and almost 1.5 million items are loaned each year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
&lt;br /&gt;
Any combination of experience and training will qualify if it provides for the required knowledge and abilities.

Library Assistant I: One year of clerical and/or library experience. Equivalent
&lt;br /&gt;
to the completion of the 12th grade.

Library Assistant II: Two years of experience performing duties similar to a Library Assistant I in the City of

Mountain View. Equivalent to an associate&#8217;s degree or Library Technician degree.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS KNOWLEDGE OF: Library Assistant I:

As an intern on the SearchRev marketing team, you&#8217;ll have an opportunity to learn about search engine marketing and get hands&#45;on experience with the basics of business&#45;to&#45;business marketing.

Responsibilities
&lt;br /&gt;
 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
    * Production of marketing collateral such as direct mail
&lt;br /&gt;
       
&lt;br /&gt;
    * Production of company website, blog and email newsletter
&lt;br /&gt;
       
&lt;br /&gt;
    * Working with outside vendors in the areas of graphic design, writing, printing and fulfillment
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Must Have
&lt;br /&gt;
 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
    * Currently enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program
&lt;br /&gt;
       
&lt;br /&gt;
    * Strong written and verbal communication skills
&lt;br /&gt;
       
&lt;br /&gt;
    * Ability to be detailed oriented in a fast paced environment
&lt;br /&gt;
       
&lt;br /&gt;
    * Experience with website production and maintenance
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Nice To Have
&lt;br /&gt;
 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
    * Currently enrolled as a student in a graduate program
&lt;br /&gt;
       
&lt;br /&gt;
    * Experience with graphic design packages such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
&lt;br /&gt;
       
&lt;br /&gt;
    * Experience with website production and management software such as Microsoft Visual Studio and Dreamweaver
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
