The One Another Group ministry team is composed of all the co-leaders of our one another groups. Each group has a leader team that shares the responsibility of leading the group and facilitating the care of its members. We're always looking for new small group leaders.
Training is provided, and the leader team allows those who are both experienced and inexperienced to learn and grow as facilitators. Because of the investment in training and the importance of these groups to The HighWay Community, a one year commitment is encouraged.
For more information, contact John Riemenschnitter or Jason Bergendahl.
The HighWay Community is a church in a box, and as a result one of the most vital ministry teams is the Set Up / Tear Down Team. Each week this team unloads the HighWay Community trailer, sets up the sound system in the auditorium, prepares the information table, and delivers the equipment for HighWay Kids to their class room. When everything is finished, they tear it town and reload the trailer.
Many hands make light work! There's always help needed here, whether it's every week or a couple of Sundays a month.
For more information, contact Brian and Rochelle Phillips or Bill Levier.
This ministry team oversees all the financial aspects of The HighWay Community, including both the general budget for the ministry as well as The HighWay Foundation.
For more information, contact Rob Lee.
Back to top Assimilation
The assimilation team focuses on getting people who come to The HighWay Community connected to community. They welcome and contact guests and help newcomers get connected to one another groups and ministry teams.
The Assimilation team meets the first Sunday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Student Center at Palo Alto High School.
For more information, contact Emily Nonnenberg.
This team encourages the prayer life of The HighWay Community. Members of the prayer team meet weekly to pray for the ministry of The HighWay Community and requests from the community. They also pray during each Sunday morning worship service, and organize and lead occasional events focused on prayer.
For more information, contact Diane Smith.
The video team creates and provides original video and movie clips that are used in Sunday morning worship services. These videos and clips are produced to match the theme of the morning's message and are a fresh and relevant way to illustrate God's Word. The team handles everything from the conception of the idea to filming, editing, acting… whatever it takes!
For more information, contact Steve Bennett.
The Internet and Media team designs, develops, and maintains this website.
For more information, contact Jeff King.
HighWay Kids ministries provide creative learning experiences to help kids from pre-school through 5th grade learn more about God's Word. Currently HighWay Kids is divided into nursery, grades K-1, 2-3, and 4-5. And there's always room for people who love kids!
If you'd like to help the HighWay Kids, contact Jeanette Anderson.
The Middle School and High School ministries exist to provide an open and safe place for students from grades 6-12 to grow in their love for God and for one another in a fun environment. Be involved in students lives, plan events, teach God's Word… it's all there!
To be involved with Middle School, contact John Geleynse. To be involved in High School, contact Damian and Kristi Paszkeicz.
This team leads The HighWay Community in worship and music each Sunday morning as well as at other community events.
The worship team rehearses weekly in Fremont. For more information, contact John Riemenschnitter.
